GCSEs as an Adult

Once you have started your working life, the last thing you may be thinking about or considering is GCSEs as an adult. But holding good grades in core GCSE subjects such as English, Mathematics and Science can prove invaluable.

GCSEs are a great way to demonstrate your ability and understanding of subjects at a certain level and can show either potential employers your commitment to self improvement or a potential university that you have the foundation skills needed to join a degree course.

The thought of studying GCSEs as an adult can be a daunting prospect! But you shouldn’t let that put you off at all. Thankfully, due to improvements with distance and online learning, you no longer have to attend a school or college to actually study your chosen GCSEs. A quick Google search will provide you with a list of online GCSE courses that are available for study.

The great thing about studying GCSEs online is the flexibility you get. If you’re working as well as studying, you need to be able to do your learning at times that suit you and in locations that suit you, which is exactly what you can do with online learning. The only thing you need to keep in mind when studying GCSEs online is when the examinations are. Usually, examinations are held in the June of every year, but with some awarding bodies (such as Cambridge International), you have the option of sitting them in November as well as June.
