A-Levels are the UK secondary school leaving qualification. These courses are usually studied over a two year period at school or college by students. Available in a range of subjects from a range of awarding bodies, these courses are the best and most secure way for students to get entry to a university.

The assessment method for UK A-Levels is linear in nature, with the student expected to sit all of the examinations for the subject in the same examination period. If studying courses that have either a coursework or practical element, the students are expected to complete these elements in the same examination period also. There is only one examination period available for UK based A-Levels.
