The Level 2 Award in Nutrition and Health is a registered qualification with Ofqual. Study of this course will give a student a good foundation understanding of nutrition and health which will enable them to further their studies within the field on a Level 3 qualification.

Studying the course students will get the chance to learn more about how nutrition and health are closely related and the main causes of poor health and diseases such as obesity and diabetes.

The Level 2 Award in Nutrition and Health course will focus on three units of study as follows:

• Unit 1: Explore Principles of Healthy Eating
• Unit 2: Consider Nutritional Needs of a Variety of Individuals
• Unit 3: Use Food and Nutrition Information to Plan a Healthy Diet.

The course will be assessed by submission of completed assessments to your course tutor.
